Bio
Francesco Castro is currently a P.h.D. in Artificial Intelligence (health and life sciences area) organized by the University Campus Bio-medico of Rome with the research location in the University of Bari Aldo Moro. He previously received a master’s degree in Computer Security, which he completed with honors. Research interests are related to the protection of health and biometric data, adversarial machine learning, and collaborative and distributed learning strategies. Research areas include computer vision and machine learning, homomorphic cryptography, security of AI algorithms, biometric data, and federated learning. He is the author of more than 5 scientific papers published in international scientific conferences and journals. He is a scientific reviewer for international conferences and journals such as Pattern Recognition Letters, IEEE Access, SN Computer Science, and many others. Moreover, he holds the position of expert educator in the artificial intelligence laboratory for the PNRR project “I talenti nascosti”.
